Elastomer extrusion

We perform elastomer extrusion for technical solutions.

TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) and TPVs (thermoplastic vulcanised elastomers) are materials with properties similar to rubber, but are manufactured by extrusion – like a thermoplastic.

They are lightweight yet strong and, in addition to being flexible, offer different degrees of hardness. For these reasons, they can be used in a variety of industrial solutions.

Elastomers perform very well against wear, chemical agents and adverse weather conditions. Their high degree of recovery after deformation and excellent sealing properties make them very useful in sectors such as automotive, construction and household appliances.

TPE extrusion and PVT extrusion capabilities.

We currently manufacture elastomers of various hardnesses, use them in coextrusions, and deliver them in custom-cut formats or reels.

They can be machined and marked after extrusion, and we can offer profiles in various colours or combined with other rigid materials such as PP. We also offer the option of integrating adhesive tape.

Last but not least, they are highly recyclable, which means they can be easily reprocessed.

Applications of TPE or TPV extruded profiles:

  • Sealing gaskets and weatherstripping for doors, windows, or metal cabinets.
  • Sealing or vibration absorption profiles for household appliances.
  • Windscreen wipers.
  • High-voltage electrical insulation.

Physical and mechanical characteristics of elastomers:

  • High elasticity and resilience.
  • Wide range of hardnesses, from very soft to semi-flexible.
  • Good resistance to ageing, UV rays and atmospheric agents.
  • Chemical resistance to oils, greases and detergents.
  • No vulcanisation required, reducing production times and costs.
  • 100% recyclable, reusable in extrusion processes.
