Polyamide extrusion
Polyamide extrusion technicians for all sectors.
Polyamide (PA), commonly known as nylon, is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic, ideal for demanding industrial applications. It is characterised by its high mechanical strength, excellent thermal behaviour, low coefficient of friction and good resistance to wear and abrasion.
It is a material particularly suitable for the manufacture of components subjected to mechanical stress, friction or high temperatures. In addition, it offers good dimensional stability and insulating properties, allowing the use of extrusion profiles in both structural and technical applications.
At SCT Straw, we work with different types of polyamide, including PA6 and PA12, in standard formulations or with additives, allowing us to adapt to the needs of each project in terms of strength, flexibility, or behaviour when exposed to chemical agents.
Polyamide extrusion products.
We specialise in the manufacture of technical polyamide profiles, with the following ranges:
Extrusion of solid, hollow or mixed profiles, technical tubes with different diameters or specific geometries using our own tools.
Extruded polyamide is ideal when dimensional accuracy, impact resistance or exposure to demanding conditions are required.
Applications:
- Guides and sliding rails for machinery.
- Separators and structural profiles for electrical or electronic systems.
- Anti-abrasive strips or profiles for internal transport or automation.
- Technical elements for fastening or assembly in sectors such as automotive or household appliances.
Physical and mechanical properties of polyamide:
- High mechanical strength and excellent impact resistance.
- Good thermal performance, suitable for high temperatures.
- Excellent resistance to wear and friction.
- Insulating properties, both electrical and thermal.
- Dimensional stability, even in demanding environments.
- Chemical resistance to oils, greases and industrial solvents.
